Get ‘connected’ with fashion Sensations

Glam-ette Rosa shares some sweet and memorable “Life sensations”.

Getting Connect-i-cut in Niagara Falls

A couple of weekends ago we as a family, spontaneously decided to drive out to Niagara Falls and celebrate my daughter Diana’s birthday – sweet 16! The place was jammed, the sun was bright, it was hot and the skies were bluer than blue. We walked and we walked and we took photos and more photos. We were four people with 3 cameras. Need I say more? We oohhed and ahhed over the falls, the rainbows and the amount of people who have come from all over to see this wonderful landmark. It was a weekend of Sangrias, ice cream, ribs and Coca-Cola toasts to the occasion. The amusement street was littered with children of all ages enjoying and maybe not so enjoying the fun houses, the wax museum, the famous Ripley’s believe it or not building, the rides that take you from the top to the bottom in stomach halting seconds. You could smell the waffle cones, the fudge, the candy apples, the coffee brewing and the popped popcorn – it was a throwback to the times of my childhood having picnics alongside the falls and napping on throw blankets and then waking up to more scenic sights of all the glorious falls with the whole family. All 20 of us.

Now where am I going with this story? As Tara mentioned in one of her last comments, meeting and connecting with people is what UBU is all about. Sharing and laughing and mingling. You just never know who you will meet and how. Life throws a little spot of happiness and it must be taken quickly and recognized for what it is- a moment in time to be treasured and acted upon.

At some point in the weekend, as it should be, we were in a cute little shop not far from our hotel and were browsing around. Diana was asked to pick out a keepsake of her weekend as something to treasure of her sweet 16. We were in a lovely shop simply called “Boutique.” The woman at the cash asked what we were looking for and we told her a little sparkle for my daughter and so she snapped her fingers and said, “Well, maybe you will find something in this section, it has gorgeous pieces and oh..What is the name of the designer…. and supplier… uh, oh, ummmm.” and as she struggled something popped into my head “Artizan?” She clapped and asked “How did you know?” I smiled and so dramatically pointed to the piece of UBU/Artizan piece I happened to be wearing that day. I do not leave home without my UBU. She admired the piece I had on. I was anxious to get to that section of the boutique just to see what they carried and there as I made my way through (the store was busy) were all the items and jewels of any woman’s dreams. I was delighted but the highlight was – Yes, there is more – as I was browsing, a woman approached the section beside me and exclaimed “How beautiful. Need something like these? I love my jewellery.” And not being the shy person that I am, casually asked her” You love these pieces?” She said “Oh yes. I am from Connecticut, we have nice things, but these are nicer.” Well I stood there and in a few seconds introduced myself as glam-ette for UBU and I helped pick out all the favourites of UBU to assist her in making her decision a lot easier. We laughed. We squealed and we had a connected moment as my husband snapped some photos of us. I handed her a business card and asked her to visit the site when she was in the need of something awfully pretty. I hope she visits and even if she doesn’t, it was a highlight I will not forget. It truly is about meeting new people and no matter for how short or how long the connection, it is real. My family nod their heads, “Even here – who would have thought. “
And would you believe as we made our way over to Niagara–on-the-lake later on in our weekend, they were thinking “Who will Mom meet today?”

OMG, that is too funny. What are the chances of hitting boutiques that are selling the same products we sell for UBU. One thing I can bet you is UBU prices can’t be beat!! Why?? My guess would be that UBU is able to bring these beautiful pieces to all of us at affordable pricing because there would be minimal overhead. UBU is not leasing or paying rent for any building space. Would this be safe to say??

Wow, I can see you now Rosa introducing yourself to this shopper and helping her out with her purchase. The excitement of wearing UBU accessories and being a part of a truly remarkable company carries through us whereever we go.

    HAPPY 16TH DIANA!!

The remarkable thing is women always pay attention to the jewellery I am wearing. And it is so easy to say “UBU” and to talk about Tara, the foundation and the affordable prices and the quality of the items.

I am a people person and it takes nothing but a few minutes to smile, talk and share UBU and all its worth. Meeting new people is my forte. I could have let that moment slide and just listen to her gush but I wanted to share her gushing- I am like the proud aunt of UBU. And she was warm and receptive. Connecting with her was simple. And as you can see from the photo enclosed, we laughed. The happiness is truly expressed on our faces. We caused quite a stir in that boutique allowing others to mosey over and see what the hoop-a-la was about.

And UBU shoppers – know the UBU line. On the weekend, some moms on Andrea’s other sons team noticed my centerpiece (as Leslie so delicately put it) and instantly knew- “is that a Tara piece?” and amongst us glam-ettes – we like to see what each of us have on becasue we all carry and wear different pieces and love to see how we carry them so beautiful.

It is all fun. And we have so much more to look forward to very soon.
