Who’s jumpin’ with sizzling style & hot looks??
All this talk about Crop Over and festivities in Barbados – has me cookin up some thought and ideas!
The Caribbean is full of beauty. People have a sense of style and expression – a knowingness about who they are. Ordinary and extraordinary personalities live together. No matter their age, they never seem to grow old. They have an endless energy and love of life.
Caribbean women love their fashion. Dressing – checking out of dullsville and putn on the Glitz is a big part of island life. Women dress with confidence, colour and style. Fete’s and celebration start from birth. People gather in each other’s homes, at functions, in the clubs, on the streets, on the beach – people gather to give the news, share their thoughts, break bread, quench thirsts, debate opinions and ‘jump’ with joy and celebration. And make no mistake, men and women alike do it in fashionable style!
Personally, I am forever playing dress-up! I simply adore bold and beautiful – dramatic and Ooh La La , classic and timeless as well as pretty and wholesome. I love it all. It’s very impressive to see a female dress her personality, to wear style that express’s her inner and outer beauty and individuality. If you think about it most eople have ‘signature’ looks. For instance – I always…and I do mean almost always – wear a scarf. I am a self-confessed scarf-a-holic with probably little chance of dropping the habit! I have scarves everywhere in every size, shape and colour. I dangle , drape , wrap , loop it in my belt, tie on my purse and /or ….scarves are my signature!
What’s your “Hot ” signature Look? What do you wear to express yourself in style??
Ooh and since we are talking about Barbados and the Caribbean - Are people jumpin with sizzling style in the islands? Is fashion a universal language? in other words the same world over – or does each city or country – like each individual have a signature look?

I totally agree with you – there is something about bracelets and bangles – the jingle and the jangle that is very alluring! I have a wristfull myself – some sentimental – some fashion statements – some just OOh La La ! Love em! and best of all they are timeless! Wear anywhere – anytime!
