Naturally some days are simply better than others – but if we step back just a wee bit for just a wee moment – who knows we might improve our day just a wee bit ! It’s worth a try! I will invite Leslie and Lynda to give us some Fab 5 tips! We can meet on the blog everyday or as often as possible. Heck – we can even ask friends and family to join in ! If we really want to start something we can have a UBU/Diva party! Imagine boutique shopping – tips on how to de-stress – glamtini’s – giggles and mingling ??? WOW sign me up! Like the idea??

As a glam-ette, the anticpation is just too much. I wait with bated breath for my kit to arrive (via good looking guy) (my husband) so I can whip off the lid, and dig deep, peeking, pulling, placing everything out on my kitchen table, chairs, every inch where the lighting is great so I can see everything for its worth. You do not understand how much willpower it takes not to put aside 8 or 9 items just for ME.

So than the next step- take it to work day. It has become like show and tell – or more like feel. Feel the scrves, feel the smooth glass necklaces, the texture on the bracelets and the smooth lines of the sunglasses.

    Feedback-
“so many colours to choose” – yellow, coral, hot pink, burberry pink, sea blue, jade blue, apple green, virgin white with pom poms, fuschias and sunset orange.”

“Are these the right prices?” Affordable, cash and carry shopping, love it, buy it, wear it back to the desk. INSTANT GRATIFICATION.

“The necklaces come in the pretty little pouch. I get to keep the pouch? Aw. I will take three. Perfect gifts for the perfect celebration.” Many sweet sixteen parties this year and oh, the occassional happy 40th as well. Jewellery has no age discrimination here.

You walk through the office and it is a rainbow of spring- the scarves are not tucked over the chairs, instead they are wrapped around necks, aligned off the shoulders and some are even belted sarong style around their waists. Sunglasses are perched on top of their heads and you can hear a slight clink, clank, twinkle of bracelets dancing as mouses are being driven across the mousepads. And for those who did not make it to the marathon shopping break, they secretly email me or come by and whisper- I hear you have stuff. Can I see too?”

These are my de-stress moments. The laughter and the chatter “which colour looks good on me, which one do you like, the pashmina or the velvet, the green or the pink? This is fun. ”
This is women taking a few moments to breathe and to share and to look good before getting back to work.
And then in the next breath, I get asked, “When are you bringing more? What is coming up?” and more common words are ” I need a gift. What do you recommend? What does UBU have for me next?”

Yes. the glam-ette waits in anticipation and with bated breath for her next kit arrival (via good looking guy) (my husband).

    Good morning,

    It’s officially SPRING!!

I’d like to share some information with you I heard on the radio titled, “All About Style”.

Spring forward with STRONG ACCESSORIES, and COLOUR! Spring is all about being simply fabulous!!

Add colour to your life, it gives a happy outlook as well as giving your wardrobe a lift. Add a pop of colour to that every day t-shirt with a scarf, dangly earrings and an armful of bangles.

It’s about making a statement with shoes, purses and accessories.

People are thinking about how they are spending their money, so its suiting that quality, beauty and pleasure are the strong statements for spring – go bold in stead of dainty, “yes Rosa, it’s not just I encouraging you to be daring” long chandelier earrings make a fun statement on the ear, keep them long, gold, silver, extravagant and bold!!

Accessorize with belts, bracelets and jewellery, this is inexpensive and adds to your wardrobe.

Here you have it, straight from the Chum FM blog.

Rosa, you couldn’t have said it better when you stated that at UBU you can purchase 2, 3 items for the price of 1 elsewhere. UBU brings quality pieces at affordable pricing.

I admit, I have no will power. When my Glam-ette Kit arrives, I’m like a young child on Christmas morning. I can’t wait to dig deep and see what treasures are inside. I see purses, and scarves, necklaces, rings and bracelets and YES, put them aside for ME :-)

This makes me giggle. Lynda and I met as colleagues and became the bestest of friends as we tried to de stress. Lynda is simply a gorgeous soul who collects my heart and when we work together we actually feel like we are playing-and that is precisely what you Glam-ette types are doing!! I love your flirtatious nods to the men in your life too. Like some of you mention our great guys sometimes just chuckle and cock their heads and say “So this is you working right?”
Lynda and I just toss our boas a little more comforatbly around our necks and say”Uh Huh” with a little motown lilt using our EMOTIOCIZING all the way.
Now on those busy days take a few seconds to put those lovely manicured fingertips to the front of your forehead and focus on breath. Technically speaking you are attracting blood flow to your prefrontal cortex and it helps concentration. FUN FOCUS FAB alot. Oh Tara aren’t you just a lamb for getting us story telling?

    Hey Tara!
I know it’s been a while for me to get around to posting, between school work, band practice, organizing costumes for drama at school, seeing friends etc. god, what was that you were saying about de-stressing? Anyways, as always I love the bold jewelry, the bright scarves and the purses that are the perfect size to fit EVERYTHING. Look forward to seeing you ’cause I know what it’s like driving with Larry, Curly and Moe on the way to school, plus I’m dying to see what you have for spring after winter with all it drab gloom. I’ve gotta run now, see you soon!
